Name: Alexandra Buzo
Age: 24
Bike: Fuji single speed (aka rickety cricket) and another Fuji, 8 speed sumthin’ er other. It’s got a rack!
Riding Style: Socially, Independently, Necessarily, Indubitably!
Why do I ride: To get where I need to go. Whether it’s 2 blocks or 10 miles. I am more of a Spring-Summer-Fall biker than I am a Winter biker
My biggest challenge so far: Every attempt I make at repairing Rickety Cricket for something, something else goes horribly wrong.
My future goal for cycling: Getting Rickety Cricket lookin’/workin’…good. Doing more long distance bike rides.
Best biking story: Babes in Bikeland ’09 was pretty fucking rad. It was my first race ever and I had a great time. Even biking up that University Ave. Hill to Prospect Park. My torso felt like it was about to explode! I couldn’t have asked for better partners that day!
What turns my crank about cycling: The social aspect of biking is what initially got me riding. The convenience in being able to get from one place to another at my leisure. And the fact that it’s one of the only things saving me from becoming morbidly obese. It’s just wonderful.

Are you going to give me a photo of Rickety Cricket, or am I going to have to post one of our Babes III shots? =] (This really makes me sad that I didn’t get pics of limbo at the Nomad..)
Rickety was featured at the winter maintenance meeting we had in Nov. It was the shining example of what happens to your bike if its not treated with a little love n’ tenderness through the winter months. But I could try and take a more clear shot of the lil’ bastard.
